I’m going to take a short break from the state-by-state posts I’ve been doing so we can look at some different stuff in geography.

Having grown up in Massachusetts, I’m a big Tom Brady fan so, since he has been in the news lately because of his retirement, I thought it would be fun to look at the ‘Geography of Tom Brady.’

Brady was born in San Mateo, a suburb of San Francisco in 1977. He lived just a half-hour’s drive from the old Candlestick Park Stadium where the San Francisco 49ers played then and he became fascinated with football by watching Joe Montana play.

Brady and his wife also bought and sold (for $40 million) this mansion in the Los Angeles suburb of Brentwood. From sportskeeda.com

In high school Brady played baseball too. Did you know that Brady was drafted as a catcher by the Montreal Expos in 1995? He turned that offer down to play football at the University of Michigan.
