Thanks for re-posting my story Dave. I've had an additional thought since then. It's always hard, if not impossible, to 'take things away' from people politically - the ten states who would lose a Senator. Therefore, how about simply ADDING let's say 10 or even 20 Senators. They would be elected by the most populous states including California, Texas, New York and Florida - a nice mix of reds and blues.
