I'm a big believer in mass transit too Ted but that's only going to work within and between dense urban areas. It will probably be a century or two (lol) before people come in from the suburbs. It surprises me to see this (figures vary all over the map) but a "car," even a gasoline powered one, is a relatively efficient way of getting 4 people around low density areas, compared to trains and buses. So better incentives to get ppl to car pool has to be part of the plan.
