Bob did you get my response about the airports and 12,430 miles? I sent it but don't see it here now. Anyway another thought. I believe you are thinking of your home town and its antipode. The line you want is midway between the two and if you sliced the globe like a melon on that line you would have two hemispheres. One would have your home town on top, and the other its antipode.
