Folks seemed to like my Appalachian Trail Quiz so The One Minute Geographer decided to make a quiz out of the series about the Great State of Maine. (From which I just returned where I had a great Thanksgiving dinner with family at a truck stop near Bangor! I also tried moose — tastes like chicken, lol. No, seriously, unlike the gamey taste of deer, I thought moose tasted like — and had the texture of — chuck steak!)

Answers are at the very bottom of this post. (Are you good at guesstimating percentages?) There are 14 questions. Good luck!

Here we go:

1. The capital of Maine is

a. Augusta

b. Bangor

c. Kennebunkport

d. Portland

e. Waterville

2. The eastern-most point of the continental United states is where in Maine?

a. Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor

b. Campobello Island

c. Eastport

d. Rockland

e. West Quoddy Head

3. Maine ranks 41st in population, so only nine states have fewer people than Maine. Maine has about how many people?
